Daisy discovered electronic music at a french rave party in 1992. She learned how to mix in 1996 and spun live for the first time the same year at a rave party in Paris, as YSIAD. Passionate about scientific research, she decided to study biology at Paris VI University.
She passed the first & second year in life sciences with distinction, received a master’s degree & a bachelor’s degree of physiology, a postgraduate diploma of psychopathology and she began a Ph.D. in neurogenetics.
In addition to her DJ-activities, she founded the INSOMNIACS association with several friends in 1998 in order to fulfil the need to share her passion.
Promoters of Parisian techno collectives noticed her during live mix sets and proposed residencies for Process and Exist parties, besides her Insomniacs residence. She plays in Paris frequently but also in many other French cities (Bordeaux, Lyon, Dijon, Montpellier, Lille, Strasbourg, Perpignan…) and has played in several European countries (Belgium, Spain, Germany, Holland…).
In 2001 she went into partnership with [a=A. Kahn] and composed her first record as [a=Mandragore]. Three records were then released in 2002 on [l=Mirage], [l=Gazole Records] and [l=B.E.A.S.T. Records].
In september 2002 she received a Ph.D. in neurogenetics with the highest level of distinction and she decided to devote herself entirely to her other passion: electronic music.
In 2003 her first mix CD was released on [l=Human] (a sublabel of [l=Uncivilized World]) and [a=DJ Daisy] joined the booking agency of the famous dutch label: [l=The Third Movement]. That same year she performed live at several big european events such as Mysteryland (Haarlem). Her second mix CD ([r=250532]) was released on [l=The Third Movement] in april 2004. In 2004 [a=DJ Daisy] officially joined [l=The Third Movement]. Besides her release on [l=The Third Movement] ([r=381555]) she also released stuff on [l=EBE Company] ([r=306257]) and [l=Otaku Records] ([r=263455]) and there's a lot more coming up.
