Dj Debbie D has been at the forefront of the Florida Breaks movment, paving the way for many of the female DJs you hear today. Collecting vinyl as a DJ since 1975. Spinning at the legendary Day One Rave, thrown by then cohort Wes Smith. Also playing at other famous central florida hot spots such as, The Edge Nightclub, ran by the "godfather", DJ Icey and original resident at Simon's for the first five years. Playing gigs with such big names as The Chemical Brothers, Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk, The Prodigy, Altern 8, Josh Wink, the Cyrstal Method, DJ Rap, Dream Frequency, Lady Keir (from DeeLite), Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox, Grooverider , and DJ Icey himself.
Influenced in many different genres of music, at a very young age, Debbie has " a major passion for this music" and plays anything from house music, Drum and Bass, "jump-up" jungle, and of course florida breakbeat. Though she prefers funky breaks and jungle.
Together with Wes Smith, they started Juice Recordings. The label produced worldwide breakbeat hits such Mike B's "Feel My Energy" and Phatty P's "Pass The Mic/ High Volume". Then to move on and open her own label known as D-Style Records. D-Style has had much success with remixes and original production from DJ Mike B, Sharaz, DJ Moon, Rythmic Bliss, Doc Roc, Phatty P, DJ X. Many more releases scheduled with remixes of the classic D-Style recordings to come.
