I was born 29.08.77 in Bucharest, Romania, at the age of nine my family moved over to germany. I was twelve when I had to spend several weeks in a hospital. The good thing about it was that my father bought me a walkman and a cassette to help me to bridge the time gap - it was Depeche Mode's "Music For The Masses". First I didn't like it because it sounded kind of strange to me, but it was the only one I got, so I listened to it over and over again. Finally it really catched on me and I discovered another world on music apart from the "normal" one. Probably this was some kind of initiation (thx to dad for not buying a Manowar or Volksmusik tape). And this world I still explore and enjoy...
Be it Industrial, Modern Symphonics, HipHop, Techno or even Pop... the "grey area" of music is not (in) a genre... it's inbetween. It's where the experimental meets the emotional. Solar is one way expressing this "inbetween".
