The Native Tongues Posse were a collective of hip hop musicians from the late 1980s and early 90s. The collective gave off such acts as [a=De La Soul], [a=A Tribe Called Quest], [a=Queen Latifah], [a=Black Sheep], and [a=Leaders Of The New School].
The collective silently broke apart in the late '90s when the group members realized that they could do better off on their own. Despite this, former Native Tongue members still remain to collaborate with other former Native Tongue members. It has been stated publicly that the Native Tongues would never release an album.
