Dj/Producer addicted to music. With over 15 years rocking the turntables under his belt, there is no mistaking his skills. Whether it's at events, clubs or radio shows, Sal V is known for flawless mixing and eclectic music styles, always at the top of his game knowing what to play and when to play it.
Originally from Oxnard, California, his love for music began as a child, watching and learning from family and friends, 805 legends Jonny G "Dj Uptempo" and Dj Mando Galindo. Inspired, but unable to afford turntables, he practiced mixing with tempo controlled tape decks (answering machines) along with his cousin Dj Cosmo (aka Dj Pleasures). It wasn't long before he got his hands on a pair of Technics 1200's, built a record library and went straight to work under the moniker Dj Maclon.
Working with numerous promoters, including; The Hardcore Family, Playboy Ent., VNV's Vince Serrano and Victor Madueño, as well as KS Entertainment's Dj N8, he toured throughout the state for years, sharing the stage with Hard House heavy hitters; Richard "Humpty" Vission, Dj Irene, Mark V & Poogie Bear, Dj Bam Bam, Alex Peace and Dj Enrie to name a few. He also performed with 805 home town influences and Dj pals; 2MW (aka Jay Wes), Aycer, Dj Wicked, Slymer, AMFM Alexander, Megaman, Cyberkid, NVS, Delight, Spiral and Simplemindead. As Dj Maclon he was also guest Dj on many radio stations including Q-104.7's The BOMB Show, 91.9 KCSB's "The Groove" and Power 105.5 promoting the huge bootleg CD release of HARDTIME.
Not satisfied with just spinning other people's tracks, he took the next step venturing into production with his first toys the Roland MC-303, Korg's Electribe and Steinberg's Cubase. Now under the new stage name Sal V, his first productions were picked up by Hardstep Records and Fussion Groove, then licensed on mixed compilation CD's including Michael Trance & George Centeno's - Keep On Pumpin and Larry Lynx's - House Music Theater. In the following years, adapting to the change in electronic music, he continued producing and remixing, releasing tracks under his own label Full Effect Recordings.
In 2006, Sal V joined radio veteran Danny G and cousin Dj Pleasures to bring in the new 100.9 The HEAT FM. In a short time he began assisting the Program Director as Mixshow Coordinator, Producer and Mixer on several shows including his own special project: The Launch Mixshow. This new show, sponsored by Native Instruments Traktor Scratch, took off in 2007 featuring the best in Electronic Dance Music with Dj Sal V as Host, Dj and Producer along with special guest Djs from around the globe. This recent surge in Dance Music has brought Dj Sal V back out on stage for numerous events including Vision, Phase, Bang The System, Dance To The Future, Electro Rock, Bring Tha Noize, Club Fusion, Kress, Massive Love, Utopia, the annual Bliss festivals and many more, sharing the stage with superstar Djs; Swedish Egil, Felix Da Housecat, Dj Bam Bam, Chrizz Luvly, Breakdown, Sonic C, Dj N8 and AM FM Alexander to name a few.
