Patti Jannetta has worked her way up through the music industry into a position which has garnered her respect as a singer, entertainer, songwriter, and humanitarian. She has recorded 3 albums during her career - all of which have fared well domestically, with her last two albums earning her acceptance on an international level.

Patti was discovered while attending school in Toronto, becoming a teen actress in the Canadian production of Jesus Christ Superstar which opened in Los Vegas, then moved to the famous Aquarius Theatre in Los Angeles.Back at home, she concentrated on her first love, singing, and signed a record deal. She toured throughout Canada, the Caribbean Islands, the United States, Europe and Asia promoting her first album. Patti also represented Canada at the International Sopot Music Festival in Poland, performing for 50,000 people and winning the prestigious "Musician's Favorite" Award.

Patti appeared in the documentary feature entitled "Superstar", starring Thai singing sensation [a=Manee]. While filming the documentary Patti opened for Manee throughout Europe and Thailand. In Monaco, she appeared at the elite Jimmy Z Nightclub and then at the world renowned MIDEM Music Festival in Cannes, France. In Thailand, she appeared in concert in Chaing Mai and Bangkok,s famous Thai Cultural Centre. Patti guested on many TV shows, had her own network television special for CTV entitled "A Family Christmas," starred in the feature "Applause", and in 2003 filmed the Rogers Television show, One on One, both profiling her life and music.

As a songwriter, Patti has co-written most of the songs for her albums and has had the opportunity to co-write with many great talents including the legendary [a=Bo Diddley]. This recording also earmarked Patti as Bo Diddley's first-ever female singing partner.

Patti's 2nd album, Breathless, acquired her a smash hit single and high rotation video on Much Music for the song "Party Girl", an original composition which also earned Patti a Juno Award nomination for "Most Promising Female Artist". Her next album, Mark On My Heart, had three successful singles: "I Know You'll Wait", ,Even Though You,re Gone, and "Mark On My Heart" (a top 20 dance hit in 1993/4). The single "Even Though You're Gone" was supported by a cross Canada tour and a hauntingly beautiful video.

She collaborated with [a=Carol Medina] and [a=James Collins (2)] - the results being the very successful dance track "Tell Me You Love Me". Along with James & Carol, Patti was presented with a Diamond record for over one million units sold.

Patti is a Past-Director and now a Consultant with Canadian Music Week. She is the 2004 President of The Canadian Association for the Advancement of Music and the Arts (C.A.A.M.A.), a national, non-profit organization dedicated to the commercial development of Canadian sound recording business domestically and internationally. It works to provide its members with free educational programming and non-commercial showcase opportunities.
