AA23 was born from the ashes of a short-lived industrial noize project based in Tempe, Arizona. Will Rage, as it was called, consisted of Time Barrow and Tim White and Detroit native Anthony Sebring.
Shortly after forming, Will Rage took on another project, with the Tucson band Not Breathing. Together they formed Banishing Point. Two live shows and a couple of compilation tracks were the result of their pairing. More importantly, great friendships resulted from Will Rage's collaborations with Not Breathing which continue to this day.
Not entirely satisfied with the direction of Will Rage, Tim White formed AA23. Consisting of Tim White, Time Barrow, and Anthony Sebring, and Tiffany Symzack. The concept for AA23 was nearly identical to that of Will Rage but with more ambient leanings. Hafler Trio, Throbbing Gristle /Coil, Lustmord, and Nurse With Wound were the original models. As time progressed, a need to move on to a new location arose. Southern California was the destination. Part-time vocalist Tiffany moved to San Diego. Time Barrow stayed in Tempe, to complete his work at A.S.U. while Tim White, and Anthony Sebring moved to Hollywood, California.
AA23 performs semi-regularly in Los Angeles and occasionally takes the live show to locations up and down the west coast, and the south western United States. Studio output remains scarce, with tracks appearing on various d.i.y. tape and cd compilations as well as the usual commercial mp3 sites.
