Bamba Nazar is best classified as a singer, songwriter & producer. He made his entry into the music industry as a signee to the production stable of Daddy-O (Stetsasonic) and Kedar Massenburg (Motown) in Brooklyn.
Bamba's early work includes Daddy-O's unreleased first solo album (Tommy Boy), Freestyle Fellowship (Island) and Cafe Black Soul (Quest) amongst other projects. From N.Y. Bamba moved to Los Angeles where he developed songwriting and build a vision for himself as an artist.
Next on the radar was Amsterdam where Bamba would spend the next 8 years on the grind as a dj while continuing to produce for the likes of The Outsidaz, Redman, Sammy Deluxe, Sugacane and The Most Official. While in Amsterdam Bamba built his studio / Meccastu' 360 and the Grindmillitary label imprint as a foundation to his vision.
Bamba learned through his travels and collaborations with African hiphop acts such as Wa Bmg 44 (Senegal) and X Plastaz (Tanzania) that Africa is on the rise! He hopes to make the continent a priority market due to it being the source of inspiration to his music.
In the tradition of the original name bearer, Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba, Bamba Nazar writes inspirational songs that defy any human oppression. Bamba Nazar's voice is the best described as the sound of a people's collective pain and suffering, the sound of movement and faith in a unified black diaspora.
