Founded in 2002, London I are a up and coming, young Hip-Hop crew from North-West London featuring the talents of two artists; Charo and Esely (SLI). They are both members of the Fluent Influentials and Rhyming Arts Foundation (RAF).
Charo and Da Vizionary (Esely) got together after chatting a bit and rekindling a very old friendship to form the Criminology Crew. J-Type soon added to the crew through Da Viz. In October that year, Faze joined the group after hearing some fresh 'Criminology' cuts, but after a long period of no working from any of the members, Viz changed his named to Prospect and decided that him and Charo would be better off as a pair. On the 10th of January 2001 Criminology renamed themselves 'The Elements'. After a while the group had put together small demo tape using a program with MIDI. The Elements decided to change to 'London I' and scrap all their hard work. Prospect changed his name once more to Esely (SLI) and they then began working on a new demo tape using sampling and other more advanced techniques. It was finished in may 2001 and was sent out to every label and person who London I had any contact with. Unfortunately it did not result in London I being signed, but the CD did create a stir, and will no doubt help to build up the forthcoming single release, the double A-side Blitz/Renaissance 12". There are plenty of new projects for releases in the pipeline including the Urban Dialect LP, the double solo Equal Writes EP and a joint EP with fellow RAF squadron Isotope Phluxx....
