Estraya is the acoustic side project of the band [a=Lycia].
They released only the album [r=355005] which is now listed as a [a=Lycia] album in the discography found at the official [a=Lycia] homepage. They say that the music is from the first Estraya sessions.
[a=Mike VanPortfleet] wrote about this release:
“…Heavily effected acoustic/electronic hybrid…dark, moody and atmospheric…Estraya is the treated acoustic side project of [a=Lycia]’s
[a=Mike VanPortfleet] and [a=Tara Vanflower]. It’s feel can best be described as an extention of the style first explored with the [a=Lycia] songs “Everything Is Cold” and “Goddess Of The Green Fields” from the 1993 release [m=61403]. The bleak starkness that influenced that release is very present throughout the pieces of [r=355005], which could be viewed as a vague follow up.”
