Born in Nagano, Japan (1972).
Tetsuya grew up in a farmhouse and began to listen to rock music at the age of 20. Soon he discovered improvised electronic music by artists such as Merzbow and Oval and decided to perform for himself. He started his musical career with improvisation and home recordings in 1997 and then moved to Tokyo in 1998. His early style was noise created with analog equipment. However, after 2000 he introduced PC-based sound into his performance.
He also runs the electronic music label RICE-FIELD.
