Born and raised in Dallas, Texas as Jevon Jones, Tha Realest showed signs of being destined for the music industry as a kid. By the age of 10, he was an undefeated performer on the local talent show circuit noted for his solid lyrical dexterity and style. Tha Realest signed to Death Row Records and debuted on the 1997 multi-platinum soundtrack "Gang Related" under the name Tenkamenin. The popularity of this first appearance catapulted his music career into overdrive, featuring his distinctive and electrifying voice on the platinum certified "Chronic 2000" and "Too Gangsta For Radio" LP's that followed. Tha Realest has worked on countless projects with other established artists such as Scarface, Richie Rich, Daz Dillinger and Kurupt of Tha Dogg Pound, Danny Boy, Mac Shawn, B-Legit, J-Flexx, and Jewell. Renowned producers he has collaborated with include QD3, Sean "Barney" Thomas, Kurt Kobane, Daz Dillinger, Ant Banks, Daryl Harper, and Magic Marv. Tha Realest has appeared in hit videos such as 2Pac's "Unconditional Love", Top Dogg's "Cindafella", Tha Dogg Pound's "Because Of You Girl", and the straight to video movie, "Death Row Uncut: Too Gangsta For TV". He has recieved rotation on radio stations and club playlists nationwide and overseas from hit singles like "Easy To Be a Soldier When it Ain't No War", "Stand Strong", "I'm Comin' Home", and "Gotta Love Gangstas".
