Susan Anway is a composer, songwriter and vocalist whose current band is the powerful joint German-US atmo-pop trio DISKARNATE, with composer/producer Armin Kuester ([de:ad:cibel])and composer Jack Andrews(PBS History Detectives, MTV's Jersey Shore.)Diskarnate's music has an industrial sound, but transcends that as well,moving through dense satisfying atmospheres underpinned by deep and danceable bass and beats.
Her work as vocalist with The Magnetic Fields continues to receive worldwide acclaim, and the song "100,000 Fireflies" was listed in Glide Magazine’s Top 10 Rock Songs 1994-2004. Prior to that she fronted the extreme art-punk Boston band V; Currently her music appears on "Obscurities" ~ A Stephin Merritt compilation (Merge 2011) ~ and in the 2011 film "Strange Powers: Stephin Merritt and The Magnetic Fields," and on Diskarnate's 2012 single release "Seven Sorrows," a haunting, irresistible club tune about love and loss.
