Formed in November 1974 after changing their name from Salvation, the band had two UK chart hits in 1976 including a number one with 'Forever And Ever'. In March 1977 Jim McGinlay left the band and was replaced by Russell Webb, although the group disbanded in September 1977, shortly after recording a punk single under the name "P.V.C.2".

Midge Ure went on to join the Rich Kids and, even later, to gain worldwide fame by replacing John Foxx, Ultravox' then-lead singer in 1982.
