Musician, songwriter and award winning record producer and engineer. Member of the pop group the Four Preps from 1956 to 1966. Most known for "Tainted Love" northern soul hit for Gloria Jones which has covered many times after Soft Cell version early 1980's.

Cobb worked as either a music producer or a sound engineer for such artists as the Standells, the Lettermen, Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, and Fleetwood Mac.
