US-American film and TV actress, born as Rebecca Jane Pearch in Santa Rosa, California on Aug. 29, 1959.

After returning to the USA and studying at the Lee Strasberg Institute, Ms. DeMornay later gained high notes of desirability as a prostitute in the Tom Cruise vehicle "Risky Business" (1983), and respectability as a psychopath in "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle" (1992). For a period, she was also engaged to [a=Leonard Cohen] whose "The Future" album she appeared on.
