Contemporary raw funk outfit from Amsterdam. Made quite a stir in the european funk community with the release of their frist single "Doin' The Thing / Generator Oil" in December 2002, being lauded by Jazzman Gerald as "only the third European funk 45 outfit (after Poets of Rhythm & Timmion collective) man enough to lay their dirty funk down on wax."
The Lefties Soul Connection are Alvin "Alviz" Bartels (Hammond Organ/Percussion), Onno Smit (Guitar/Vocals/Percussion), Bram Bosman (Bass/Percussion) and Cody Vogel (Drums). At live shows and recording sessions the Lefties are regularly accompanied by [a=Paul Willemsen (2)] (Guitar/Percussion).
