Born on September 4, 1956, in Staten Island, New York. Best known as the front man and main songwriter for [a=W.A.S.P.], as well as being the band's only continuous member. Blackie formed W.A.S.P. 1982. Prior to that, he led Sister, a band he formed in Los Angeles in 1976 and would featured future W.A.S.P. guitarist [a=Johnny Rod], as well as, at one point, [a=Nikki Sixx]. He also did a brief stint in London (which had also featured Nikki Sixx at one point) in 1981. In 1975, Blackie replaced [a=Johnny Thunders] in the [a=New York Dolls] for a tour of Florida and then relocated to Los Angeles and joined [a=Arthur Kane] in the [a=Killer Kane Band].

When Blackie was young, he was allegedly a member in a gang that also included future Kiss guitarist [a=Ace Frehley].
