Melodyguild was founded in 2002 by former Love Spirals Downwards singer, Suzanne Perry, collaborating with several former members of L.A. dream pop band, The Von Trapps. The band performed a few local shows and was rumored to be recording an EP for Projekt Records, called "Aitu", but the release date was steadily pushed back due to band member changes. In 2004, Projekt Records released a Melodyguild cover of Danny Elfman's "Sally's Song" for a limited edition holiday single. The track was a collaboration between Perry and Silver Screen's Cris Miller. In 2005, the band's website ( went offline and nothing more has surfaced from them since.
