A.k.a. Muscle Shoals Sound Rhythm Section, called the Swampers, for the reason, they left the [l=Fame Recording Studios] in the late 60s to built nearby their own recording venue. It is known as [l=Muscle Shoals Sound Studios]. The initial founders are:

[a=Barry Beckett] (keyboards), [a=Roger Hawkins] (drums), [a=Jimmy Johnson (4)] (guitar) and [a=David Hood] (bass)

They became known as The Muscle Shoals Sound Rhythm Section and were the first rhythm section to own a studio and eventually run their own publishing and production companies.
