New wave band from The Netherlands, with singer/guitarist Ernst Langhout and drummer Bertus de Blaauw as founding members. The band, which had an earlier incarnation as [a=Nighttime Visitor], existed from 1980 till 1988. Their final concert has been released on a double LP: [r=577235].
The Visitor was part of a scene called 'De Friese Bries', a name for adventurous new bands from the Frisian region of the country. Related acts were for instance [a=Weekend At Waikiki] and [a=Social Security (3)] and many of the acts on [l=Top Hole Records].
Ernst Langhout continued as a solo artist, playing folk-inspired music.
