Brazilian jazz samba and bossa nova singer, born 27 August 1934 in Rio de Janeiro; died 17 December 1966 in Maricá, Brazil.

Sylvia Telles was one of the first interpreters to become identified with Bossa Nova, recording many classics written by Tom Jobim, Vinicius De Moraes and other important composers of the genre.

Her career lasted from 1955 to 1966 when she died in a car accident.
