Italian music producer and vocalist.
He started his career back in 80's. Huge popularity gained mostly in Japan where he is popular also nowadays. He still performs in live. His shows can be seen in Japan (unfortunately only there). Dave Rodgers is the most recognized name of european producers Eurobeat music in Asia.
His first song with more worldwide success was released in 1985 track "Fly To Me" written by Mauro Farina, Marco Manzi and Donato Bellini and produced by Giacomo Maiolini from Time Records. It was just his first single with Marco Manzi and Donato Bellini in the group Aleph, where he promoted. This particular song contributed to Time Records success, the label that became recognized not only in Japan but worldwide. His voice can be heard in later Italo Disco songs, as Aki, Angel, Authokino, Cary On, Derek Simon, Nevada and Roby Benvenuto under Technology label.
Alias Dave Rodgers first time sung in 1987 track "Rich And Famous" released by Discomagic Records, and from this moment this name became his main and used anywhere. In 1990 established his own label A.Beat-C. with Alberto Contini. Pretty much unknown in Europe these days because it specialized in released Eurobeat records mostly to Asia and Japanes market. To group joined then Bratt Sinclaire. In the start of 90s Giancarlo Pasquini met in Italy representatives of Avex, in those days a small company. It was decided to start recording Super Eurobeat series, the biggest series of compilations in the world. Since then A.Beat-C. songs was released in Japan by Avex Trax label. One of the most known projects created in A.Beat-C. were Norma Sheffield, Domino, Virginelle, Valentina, Lolita, King & Queen. Under this label also started career british singer Annerley Gordon, one of main female vocal in listed projects and much more. As Dave Rodgers performed two albums, "TMN Song Meets Disco Style" in 1992, produced by Tetsuya Komuro and "Take Me Higher" in 1997, by itself produced. Second important project at the start of career was Big Brother, too released in CD album in 1991.
Giancarlo Pasquini however used several aliases. He was also vocalist and producer in second albums both of Coo Coo and King Kong & D'Jungle Girls projects by Flea Records. He made many individual singles for this label in projects Bella & Blue, Bella Model, Blue Sunbeam, Coy Mc. Coy, Giorgia Morandi, Michael Dream, Mr. Beat, Thomas & Schubert and Venice. Sung too as Gary Cooper in Asia Records, as Atrium, Chester, Dr. Money, Mike Hammer in Time Records and as Robert Newman for High Energy label.
Due to the him significant involvement in Flea Records, Toshiba EMI Ltd. under license Alabianca Records was the label, which recorded these songs in albums, Eurobeat Box Vol. 1, Vol. 2, Vol. 3, Best Of Best Eurobeat Box, Non-Stop Eurobeat Box, as well as Kiss Kiss Kiss - Contemporary Eurobeat Hits, Classical Eurobeat Hits and New Energy Beat.
