Barend started his career at the age of 13. He was inspired by break beats, hip hop and house music. His first DJ shows were performed to enthusiastic audiences at the Rotterdam Club “freak-out". At one of these performances Barend met up with Tim B and DJ Akira. Barend had already produced a number of demos on his Amiga system he was inspired by Neophyte .

After playing his demos to DJ Rob at “Coolman Records”, saw something special in this young up-coming producer. Soon after this he released his first record “4 O’ clock” as DJ Profound on the label “rave tracks”. Inspired by the success on his first release, Barend went on to produce “The Coalition part II” on the Coolman records, and soon after this he produced “Darkness Intensity” on Coolman Specials. At this stage Barend was resident DJ at club Hardcore, and was releasing many diverse Records on various labels.

Now he spends his time mostly producing hardcore. And not unsuccesfully.

Also his DJ performances have grown.
