One of the youngest artists on the Nasha label, Aktarv8r’s musical career has seen him DJ, front ADF and tour around the world as well as produce his own material, an urban mix of gritty hip-hop beats laced with forceful Arabic grooves.
Aktarv8r initially began as a D&B MC in early 1996 and after attending music technology workshops organised by Community music began DJing D&B, play out in clubs such as Scala, Club 333 in London as well internet radio stations Interface and Pyrotechnics Radio.
By 1998, Aktarv8r toured with ADF as a DJ playing warm up sets and was later asked to front ADF as a vocalist and bring his MC talents to the already established band. He recorded several tracks on the ADF album 'Enemy of the Enemy' and embarked on the ADF worldwide tour.
Aktar is currently establishing himself as a producer releasing his first track, a dark Arabic hip-hop track titled 'Aktiv Anthem' on Nasha’s 'Eastern Drum And Breaks Volume II' compilation. He can also be seen DJing at the regular Eastern Drum And Breaks clubnight and testing out the hot dubplates.
