Martin Eden (Sometimes credited as Eden Martin, and often, simply as Eden) is a prolific producer, mixer, programmer, writer and occasional bassist hailing from the UK.
Working as programmer for legendary producer Nellee Hooper, Eden has contributed to records by Gwen Stefani, Lamb, Holly Valance, P-Diddy, Kelis, The Dysfunctionals and for Sneaker Pimps vocalist Keli Alli.
Further work for Carl “Chucky” Thompson, UK hit maker Cathy Dennis, Lamb (most notably on a duet between the band and Nicole Kidman), the films “Love Actually” and “Circus”, Gary Numan, Tricky, Fluke, and Bjork solidified his programming expertise, while his reputation as a producer/mixer in his own right continues with tracks by Elton John, Rolf Harris, John butler and Ophelia of the Spirits included on the soundtrack album for Baz Luhrmann’s “Australia”.
As a composer at Song Zu studios, Eden has composed music for numerous TVC’s including the Michel Gondry directed Levi’s Type 1 “swap”, Woolworths, McDonalds, Sprite, Coke, BMW, Canon and Motorola. His music for the Pepsi Samba “legs” commercial was released as a single by Central Station under the name King Rocker, and was nominated for a Clio and an AGSC award.
In 2009 Eden wrote the theme tune for Australia’s Next Top model, which was released as a single by Tiaan Williams called “Gonna Be On Top”. The track won a silver Promax award for best TV theme, and was also nominated in the same category at the 2009 AGSC awards.
In early 2011, Eden relocated from Australia to Song Zu in Singapore where, as well as his TVC work, he has been mixing tracks for the UK band The Amazonica.
