Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. Born in Santurce, a district of San Juan, on January 7th 1941. He moved to New York City at the age of 7 and grew up on the East Side of Manhattan.
Tony played with [a=Johnny Colón Y Su Orquesta] from 1964-1967and recorded two albums - Boogaloo Blues (1966) and Boogaloo '67 (1967). At the end of 1967 Tito left the band to work with [a=Joe Bataan] and recorded an album called "Subway Joe". During the summer of 1967 he started the [a=TNT Boys] (TNT Band) with his friend [a=Tito Ramos]. LPs by the TNT Band included TNT=Dynamite (1968), Mission Accomplished (1968), The Meditation (1969), TNT Boys: Sex Symbols (1969), [a=TNT Orchestra, The]: Together (1977), and Caliente (1998). Works by Tony Rojas Orchestra include introducing Tony Rojas (1970) and El Chino Divino (1971).
