They have also recorded, both as individuals and as a band, with a wide range of other artists including [a=Bob Dylan], [a=Meat Loaf], [a=Bonnie Tyler], [a=Dire Straits], [a=David Bowie], [a=Peter Gabriel], [a=Sting], [a=Ian Hunter], [a=Ringo Starr], [a=Ronnie Spector], [a=Gary U.S. Bonds], [a=Darlene Love], [a=Southside Johnny], [a=Santana], [a=Lucinda Williams], [a=Steve Earle], [a=Emmylou Harris], [a=Tracy Chapman] and [a=Aretha Franklin].

Organ, piano and accordion player [a=Danny Federici] was replaced by [a=Charlie Giordano] after Federici died in 2008.
