Malibu was born Kenneth Johnson and started his musical career in 1980. He had sung with Alton Ellis, at clubs, show and in the dancehall. He had a minor hid with the song »My Friends«. It was also the title of his only LP, My Friends Circle Jamaica, a joint effort with deejay Early B. The album was released in either '85 or '86 on what seems to have been his and S.L. Morgan's label - J&M. In the late 80's Malibu was often seen performing with the Stereo One Sound System.
