Benito has been involved with music since childhood, beginning his career at the age of thirteen as a drummer. Since then he has worked with some of Italy’s finest musicians.
At around thirty he fell in love with the Blues, R ‘n’ B and the Neapolitan classics in quick succession and began to write his own material.
In 88/89 he was in the cast of the first Italian production of Little Shop of Horrors directed by Saverio Marconi, alongside Michele Renzullo, Edy Angelillo, Cesare Bocci and Crystal White.
He was also in the cast of the second production with Rossana Casale, Manuel Frattini and Francesca Tourè amongst others.
In 1998 he wrote “Male che fa male”, which, sung by Alex Baroni won the Sopol Festival, the European Song Festival in Poland.
Benito participated as special guest at the first Out of the Blues Festival at Samedan (St.Moritz, Switzerland) in 2006, along with artists like Fabio Treves and Philipp Fankhauser.
Benito is a prolific composer with many songs to his credit, amongst which the previously mentioned “Male che fa male”, co-written with Andrea Zuppini and interpreted with success by Alex Baroni.
