Johnny Zee was the name adopted by Coventry-born Tarsame 'Taz' Singh, when he first emerged as a recording artist in 1989. His music was a hybrid of Punjabi folk, Hindi and English music, fused with Western pop sensibilities, and the debut "Hit The Deck" became one of the biggest selling Bhangra fusion releases of all time.
