Joy Von Spain is a vocalist, percussion performer & guitarist/composer who studied orchestral composition with Donald Erb. She has performed and recorded as a member of Eye of Nix, Mongrel Gods, Epos Nemo Latrocinium, Vin Voleur, The Noisettes (US), 100PIECES, Son of None, and Nasty Hunter and performed live as a member of Caligula Cartel and Virgines Vestales. Collaborations include work with bands Blue Sabbath Black Cheer, Microscopic Suffering, Stabbings, Antikythera, the Nakatani Gong Orchestra, and solo artists Herpes Hideaway, Empty Remains, and Butoh artists Danse Perdue. Composition styles include metal/death rock, noise, dark ambient, symphonic, choral, art song, chamber music, power electronics, and improvisation. Vin Voleur performs 20th Century French, German, and English language songs (traditional and cabaret).
