Mike Jones engineering career began at the famed Decca Studios in England. Mike was trained by the top "Rock Engineers" of the day including [a=Roy Thomas Baker] and [a=Bill Price]. Working with Jeff Beck, Jack Bruce, Julio Iglesias, The Moody Blues, Englebert Humperdink and Long John Baldry, he also trained in the art of Orchestral recording by the same people who invented the Decca Tree. Mike developed his skills in both Pop and Classical genres and with large (120-piece) orchestras as well as numerous location recordings.
Mike emigrated to Canada and started to work all over Canada and the USA as an independent engineer. He worked with many different artists including, Bryan Adams/Jim Vallance, Max Webster, Domenic Troiano, Doug and The Slugs, Rough Trade, Gladys Night & the Pips, The Cooper Brothers, Neil Diamond and Triumph. During this time he also recorded the music for the feature films "Meatballs" and "High Point".
Mike has worked on many projects including Blue Rodeo, Glass Tiger, The Nylons, New Kids on the Block, Rush, Marc Jordan, Alannah Myles, Parachute Club and Oasis. Mike continues recording throughout Europe and North America. He is a multi nominated Juno award winner.
