H.I.M (standing for His Infernal Majesty) is a Finnish alternative rock/dark rock and metal band.

It was started in 1991 by the singer and frontman Ville Valo, guitarist Linde Lindström and bass player Migé Amour. The band released its first demo EP, titled "666 Ways To Love: Prologue" in 1996; it was followed the next year by their debut full-lenght, "Greatest Lovesongs vol.666".

With their second album, "Razorblade Romance", they gained exposure all over Europe when a track from the album, titled Join Me, was included in the European soundtrack of the movie "The Thirteenth Floor".

Their fourth album, Love Metal, expanded their popularity to the U.S., giving them the status of world-wide rock stars.
