Influential and uncompromising, Nigel Ayers chooses to remain underground even as his ideas are continuously appropriated by ambitious pop culture surface dwellers. Since founding the UK art music ensemble [a=Nocturnal Emissions] in 1980, Nigel has established an incredible discography of music that is as diverse as Nocturnal Emissions is durable.
Ayers co-ran [l=Sterile Records] with [a=Caroline K] between 1979 and 1986. This was followed by the [l=Earthly Delights] label.
