Bred on Husker Du, A Flock of Seagulls, and the Police (by his own admission), Boom began his professional career at 19, joining the fledging industrial band Society Burning in 1991. Citing influence from Andy Summers, Bob Mould, and Paul Reynolds, Boom began working a sci-fi mold of guitar, easily heard in today's Godflesh and Linkin Parks, to complement Society Burning's intricate musical structures. Breaking away from SoBu in the late ninties, Boom, enamored with Tech Pop, began releasing synth only tracks on the now defunct MP3.COM.
