Arthur ‘Hakim’ Stokes, is a producer, vocalist, songwriter and arranger, having toured the world as vocalist/percussionist for funk/soul group ‘Platypus’. He has to his career credits involvement as a writer with both ‘Michael Jackson’ and ‘The Jackson Five’. As arranger/vocalist on studio projects with the likes of Diana Ross, Roberta Flack and Mtume, to name a few. Also with musical contributions to such media projects as “All Dogs Go To Heaven” (movie), “Entertainment Tonight” and “The CBS Morning Show” among others. He has performed internationally in the UK, Australia, Japan, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, New Zealand and Canada. He also recorded jingles, played with area groups, worked with Spectra Entertainment, a production company out of Dayton that books festivals, fairs, corporate, casinos, college, and theater dates. He is a member of Touch, which is a Motown tribute act and his production company is called MoSound Music. Brother of Stokes siblings from Dayton, Ohio: Diane Stokes-Williams (a.k.a. [a=Lady DiAnna]), [a=Otha Stokes] and [a=Otis Stokes].
